Our Story

Our journey into the world of maple syrup began in 2011, marked by the sweet endeavor of making 5 gallons of pure maple syrup through the tapping of four maple trees in our front yard.
As our passion grew, so did our ambition. In 2012, we acquired a modest evaporator, only to swiftly realize the untapped potential present in our neighborhood. With over 100 taps strategically placed, the landscape of possibilities expanded. It was then that we purchased a 2 x 6 evaporator, collecting the sap from a little over 200 taps to yield a remarkable 70 gallons of syrup.
In the year 2013 our small business saw another evolution. With the acquisition of a 2 x 8 evaporator, our aspirations reached new heights. Fueled by our commitment and armed with 800 taps, we produced an astonishing 400 gallons of maple syrup.
At the heart of our story is our family that owns and runs Maple Row Sugarhouse. Our children join us on this journey, their youthful enthusiasm adding to the rhythm of our efforts. From exploring forests, tending to lines and taps, and arranging bottles, our children play an integral part. Yet, their most favorite task remains taste testing Mom's maple syrup recipe experiments.
